CiA® 424 series: CANopen application profile for rail vehicle door control systems
CiA 424 provides the CANopen application profile for door controllers and door units, used in rail vehicles. The door controller sends harmonized commands to the door units, which respond with door state parameters and provide diagnostic information. Additionally, the profile specifies for door units the configuration data, such as door hold open time, etc.
This application profile is part of a virtual multiple-network architecture. The door control sub-system can be connected via a gateway device to the logical CANopen-based train vehicle control network as defined in CiA 421. The CiA 424 profile does not support pre-defined PDOs (process data objects).
