CiA® 424 series: CANopen application profile for rail vehicle door control systems
CiA 424 provides the CANopen application profile for door controllers and door units, used in rail vehicles. The door controller sends harmonized commands to the door units, which respond with door state parameters and provide diagnostic information. Additionally, the door units offer configuration data, such as door hold open time.
This application profile is part of a virtual multiple network architecture. The door control sub-system can be connected to a CiA 421-based rail vehicle integration network, via gateway-functionality implemented in the door controller. Unlike many other CANopen application profiles, this profile does not support pre-defined PDOs.
