Commenting IEEE 1722
CiA members are going to comment the revised IEEE 1722 document.

The updated IEEE 1722 specification (Transport Protocol for Time-Sensitive Applications in Bridged Local Area Networks) contains a mapping/tunneling protocol for CAN data frames in CBFF, CEFF, FBFF, FEFF, and XLFF. CiA establishes an ad-hoc task force (TF) to provide comments to be submitted to IEEE. Especially, terminology harmonization with ISO 11898-1:2024 is intended as well as introducing references to CiA documents, where appropriate.
IEEE 1722 will be referenced in several Ethernet-based standards, which specify tunneling or mapping of CAN data frames. Interested CiA members may contact CiA office for further information and to register for participation in the ad-hoc TF IEEE 1722 meetings.
