ISO workshop on commercial road vehicles
ISO/TC 22/SC 31/WG 4 has scheduled an in-person workshop in Berlin (Germany) on September 16. Topics include future of truck/trailer links, secondary cabin display, e-trailer, and ePTO (power take-off) solutions.
The workshop is intended for OEMs (original equipment manufacturer), truck as well as trailer providers, and chassis as well as tier-1 suppliers. Additionally, trailer body builders are addressed. The one-day workshop agenda contains the following topics:
- Brief history of the ISO 11992 series
- New parameter requests for the communication link between towing and towed vehicles (e.g. for e-trailers)
- ePTO (electrical power take-off) functionality (cascadable/distributed energy management system) for electrical-powered vehicles and body applications
- Secondary cabin-display parameters for body application systems on towed vehicles (e.g. ISO 25200)
- Parameter mappings to SAE J1939-21, SAE J1939-22, and ISO 23870 higher-layer protocols
- Parameter group (PG) and diagnostic message (DM) mappings to CAN CC (classic), CAN FD, and HS-Ethernet lower-layer communication links
The free-of-charge workshop is moderated by Holger Zeltwanger, WG 4 convenor and CiA Managing Director. Registration is mandatory. Participation is not limited to ISO experts registered by national standardization bodies. Interested parties can register at CiA office or directly at DIN/VDA.
